Day 2

We have been so blessed with temperature this year. The rain hasn't been too bad. It did keep up from going to the zoo yesterday but we were able to take our time with set up at Kingwood Christian Church for our second concert.

Our morning started out with breakfast, of course, but also Bible study. Sitting in my room I was able to hear the girls have their discussion. This year we decided to let BBC the kids have Bible study on their own hoping it would lead to better, more meaningful discussions. We were right. We have some truly amazing kids with us. I was in awe of some of the ideas and thoughts they were sharing.

Our first official concert for this trip was at a nursing home called Windy Hill Village. It went really well. They didn't even let the out of tune piano throw them off. There was a sweet little lady that kept trying to either bum a cigarette off of one of us or get me to bum one for her. Lol

We had lunch at a little diner. It was one of those places that believe in filling your plate full.

Having canceled our zoo plans, we heard to the next location. We had the opportunity to hang out and fellowship, shoot some hoops and just enjoy being with each other fir a bit. The second concert went great. It was a nice size crowd. The Baileys and the Spencers were out in full force with relatives.

If you are reading this, please say a quick prayer for health. It's mostly the adults but there is a lot of coughing and stuffiness going on around here. I pray that God will poor down his healing power on us and keep us well throughout our time of work for Him.

The trip back home to the dorm was l little challenging. It was hard to see thanks to the darkness and mist/fog/clouds we were having to drive through. Rodney and our crew were the lead van. He did a masterful job. There is no way I could have done it.

Our arrival at the dorm was pretty late so we all hit the shower and went to bed.
